Portraying the human spirit has been my passion for over 40 years, and I have worked in various media to express what I see and feel.  Rather than become overly distraught over  inhuman violence and politics, I focus on the hope inherent in humanity.
Occasionally I work with more extreme stylistic appriaches, but most often I return to a representational tone, as reflected in these images...

These paintings are taken from the figurative portion of my collection, and represent a mixture of work from live drawings, sketches, and photographs, many from abroad. I experience the universality of human experience, in all its beauty and magic, as well as its more raw states, and these are the kind of qualities I attempt to convey in my paintings.

I work at my studio at Hunters’ Point, where I follow my muse and have shown only at Open Studios for two decades. I have had paintings included in several competitions around California, but have not made an attempt to publicize my art until now,
and
have not actively marketed my work in the past. Just now these paintings are becoming available for purchase.
